Scoring for movies is a collaborative effort: I work with the film editor, director, film spotter, or any combination therein.

The style in which I work reflects the needs of those in charge of the movie’s production. I have worked on films where I have been given carte blanche to create whatever music follows the film’s concept and I have worked on other projects that require exact directions about what cues go where.

Scoring and orchestration for movies requires precision. The rule I live by with movie scoring is be prepared to do anything to help tell the story.
